experienced in equipment parts inventory control, mechanic and
pinchaser training, preventive maintenance, and bowler inconvenience

bowling center management including employee training and motivation,
league and tournament promotion, casual and organized open play

liability management, advertising strategies, and more.
5. Bowling
industry leadership experience as 3-term president of the Bowling
Proprietors’ Association of the Carolinas, Chairman of the Equipment
and Products Committee of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of
America, member of the BPAA Marketing Committee, Chairman of the BPAA
Special Events Committee which produced “Super Bowlin’
Saturday”... the most successful national youth bowling promotion
in BPAA history, and 2-term BPAA Regional Vice President (Southeast
Region) and Executive Committee member.

1981 – Bought first of three bowling centers.
1984 – Bought second bowling center.
1986
– Formed Bowling Installations, Inc. and as President and Founder,
installed bowling equipment for AMF. This company was the first
contractor hired as AMF changed from having their equipment installed
by AMF employees to using contractors to install.
1989 – Bought third bowling center.
1992
– Sold all interest in all bowling centers to devote full time to the
ABC Tournament and bowling equipment installation work.

bowling center management, lane maintenance, refinishing, and

Awards Received:
1986
– BPAA Achievement Award (later named the Special Projects Award for
Industry Service) for Super Bowlin’ Saturday project – the most
successful national youth bowling promotion in BPAA history. 1986 –
WIBC Achievement Award also for the work done as chairman of the
Special Events Committee which produced the Super Bowlin’ Saturday
youth promotion. 1990 – Won a second BPAA Achievement Award as Chairman
of BPAA Equipment & Products Committee for extensive work done
along with ABC, WIBC, and the bowling manufacturers on the “System of
Bowling” which produced the three-unit rule in place today.
